Education and Skill development

Shiksha Jyoti

 About the Project
Shiksha Jyoti is BRF’s flagship education initiative focused on improving learning outcomes for children in govt schools + out-of-school youth across Bundelkhand. The idea: bring “jyoti” = light of knowledge to villages that lack teachers, digital tools, and learning support.

Key Objectives
1. Bridge learning gaps: Special classes for grades 3-8 in Maths, Science, English, Hindi
2. Digital literacy: Take tablets/laptops to villages so kids get first exposure to tech + educational apps
3. Remedial coaching: Extra support for weak students to catch up with school curriculum
4. Community involvement: Train local youth as “Shiksha Sakhis” to teach and mentor in their own villages

 How it Works
- Shiksha Jyoti Kendras: Learning centers set up in village community halls/anganwadis
- Mobile Digital Van: Takes digital content + experiments to 15+ villages every month
- Parent Meets: Monthly meetings to involve parents in children’s learning
- Learning Assessments: Baseline + endline tests to track progress

 Impact Focus
Target: Improve reading + math skills of 2000+ kids annually and reduce dropout rates in project villages.
