Job Description

Job Title: Village Coordinator (Shiksha Jyoti Project)
Location: nearby districts (field-based role)
Reports to: Project Manager, BRF

Job Summary
We’re looking for a local, energetic, and community-driven Village Coordinator to support BRF’s Shiksha Jyoti education project in rural Bundelkhand. You’ll work directly with village communities, teachers, and local youth to strengthen learning outcomes for children in govt schools.

 Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination
- Ensure smooth running of Shiksha Jyoti Kendras (learning centers) in 3-4 assigned villages
- Coordinate with Shiksha Sakhis (local youth volunteers) and teachers
- Track attendance of students + mentors

2. Community Mobilization
- Motivate parents to send kids to learning centers
- Organize parent-teacher meets, village events, and awareness drives
- Build rapport with local leaders, schools, and panchayats

3. Data & Reporting
- Collect weekly progress reports from centers
- Maintain student records, attendance, learning levels
- Share impact updates/photos with BRF team

4. Support & Troubleshooting
- Help solve issues at learning centers (logistics, resources, etc.)
- Ensure timely distribution of study material, tablets, and stationery
- Coordinate surprise visits by BRF staff

 Who We’re Looking For
- Local candidate from District or nearby (must be willing to travel villages)
- Graduation (any stream); B.Ed/B.El.Ed a plus
- 1-2 years of experience in community work, teaching, or social sector
- Fluent in Hindi (Bundeli dialect a plus)
- Basic computer skills + willingness to learn digital tools
- Passion for rural education + community impact

 What We Offer
- ₹15,000-18,000/month (based on experience)
